Police chase in west Little Rock ends with drug charges

Little Rock police say they found more than 80 grams of marijuana and 30 ecstasy tablets in the car of a man who led officers on a brief chase in west Little Rock on Sunday night.

Christopher Evans, 31, of Jacksonville was charged with possession of marijuana, schedule 1 drugs and paraphernalia; fleeing; fictitious tags; and driving with a suspended license, according to an arrest report.

In the report, police said they first attempted to pull Evans over for having fake tags in the 10800 block of West Markham Street and ended up chasing him by car and on foot to Rainwood and Hinson Loop Road.

The drugs and paraphernalia were found in Evans' car during a search, police said.
