4 die in 3 accidents on state roadways

A Lonoke man died Saturday evening after being struck by a truck in Little River County, Arkansas State Police said.

Mario Rodriquez-Villanueva, 41, was attempting to run across Arkansas 32 when he was hit by a 2015 Chevrolet truck traveling east on the highway, state police reported.

Rodriquez-Villanueva was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:58 p.m. Saturday, state police said. He was hit by the truck at 6:44 p.m. Saturday.

State police also said that a Paragould man died in a motorcycle crash in Greene County on Saturday.

According to state police, Randy Allen Gates, 52, was driving a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle south on Greene County Road 628 when the motorcycle left the roadway and struck some trees.

The wreck occurred at 3:38 p.m. Saturday, according to state police.

On Friday night, two men died after a single-vehicle wreck in Benton County, state police reported.

Josiah David May, 20, of Springdale was driving west on Trafalgar Road at a high rate of speed in a 2005 Chevrolet when he lost control, left the roadway near Reed Lane and hit several trees, state police said.

May and a passenger, Christopher James Ruiz, 24, of Gravette, died as the result of injuries from the wreck, according to state police.

The wreck occurred at 9:29 p.m. Friday, state police said.

One of the men was taken to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville and the other to Mercy Bella Vista, according to state police. The report doesn't specify which patient went to which hospital.

State police reported all three accidents occurred in clear conditions and on dry roads.
