Three hurt in Pine Bluff shooting

Three people were injured, two of them seriously, in a shooting in Pine Bluff Monday night, police said.

The Pine Bluff Police Department said in a news release that officers were responding to a shooting call around 7 p.m. in the 1100 block of East 26th Street when they learned three people with gunshot wounds had arrived at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

Officers at the hospital secured a car and for a short time sealed the emergency room entrance with crime scene tape, police said.

One of the victims was taken into surgery at the facility, another was transferred to Little Rock hospital and the third was treated and released, police said.

The car was taken for evidence. Police are still investigating the shooting.
