Cliff Harris Award nominees announced
Harding defensive end Trevon Bigelow, Southern Arkansas defensive lineman Davondrick Lison and Arkansas Tech linebacker Logan Genz were among the 106 nominees announced Wednesday for the Cliff Harris Award, given to the nation's top defensive player in NCAA Division II, Division III and NAIA.
Finalists for the award will be announced in two weeks, with the winner announced Dec. 24 and honored at the Little Rock Touchdown Club's annual awards banquet in February. The top vote-getter in each division will be announced Dec. 24.
This is the third year for the award, named for in honor of the former Dallas Cowboys and Ouachita Baptist University standout Cliff Harris.

Lyon sophomore honored
Lyon College sophomore Dustin Miller was named the American Midwest Conference's wrestler of the week Thursday.
Miller (10-1), who is ranked No. 12 in the 125-pound weight class, went 3-0 last week at the Southwest Open hosted by Texas-Arlington. He defeated Trent Mills and Adelfo Valdez of No. 18 Wayland Baptist, as well as Kaleb Furr from Ottawa.
