Man dies in Little Rock house fire

The Little Rock Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that killed one man Sunday.

Fire crews responded about 3:15 p.m. to a reported blaze at an elderly couple's home at 1805 Princeton Drive, department spokesman Capt. Randy Hickmon said.

Crews searched the burning home three times before they found the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, Hickmon said. The woman was taken to UAMS Medical Center to be treated for smoke inhalation.

At about 5 p.m. Hickmon said the fire was extinguished. Princeton Drive will be blocked off until about 6:30 p.m. while crews continue to investigate the cause of the fire, he said.
