Ongoing rain from a slow-moving storm system is continuing the threat of flooding across Arkansas.

The National Weather Service says another one to two inches of rain is possible Sunday, on top of up to nine inches in some western areas of the state and up to six inches in other areas. A flash flood watch is in effect until Sunday afternoon for much of the southern two-thirds of the state.

Flood warnings are also in effect through the start of the week for numerous rivers, including the Arkansas River, Red River, Little Red River, the St. Francis River, Black River, White River, Cache River, Petit Jean River, and the Fourche Lafave River.
