Arkansas named finalist for first award to honor toughest offensive line

FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas offensive line is one of six finalists for the first Joe Moore Award.

The award is named for longtime college assistant coach Joe Moore, who coached at Pittsburgh, Temple and Notre Dame. The award recognized the toughest, most physical offensive line in college football.

The Arkansas offensive line includes center Mitch Smothers; guards Sebastian Tretola and Frank Ragnow; and tackles Denver Kirkland and Dan Skipper.

Other finalists for the award are the offensive lines at Alabama, Iowa, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Stanford.

The winner will be announced Dec. 11.
