UALR: 4 of 5 minors arrested, charged in attack on student

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock said four of the five minors who attacked a student Wednesday afternoon have been arrested and charged in the case.

Two of the minors are charged with robbery and assault, and the other two are charged with assault, UALR spokesman Judy Williams said. The fifth minor has not been arrested as of Thursday afternoon.

Names and ages of the five minors have not been released.

According to the university, the student was assaulted about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday near the Lot 10 exit gate on Campus Drive East as he attempted to walk toward the center of campus.

University police said the victim was hit in the face before the five stole his cellphone and wallet.

The victim was released shortly after receiving medical attention, according to UALR's public safety department.

Williams said the university is working with the Little Rock Police Department in the case.
