A teenager was arrested in Little Rock on Wednesday and charged with first-degree murder in a Tuesday night shooting in North Little Rock.

Danny Dednam, 18, of 1818 W. 36th St. in North Little Rock was arrested at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday afternoon after a short vehicle and foot chase through Little Rock, Sgt. Brian Dedrick, North Little Rock police spokesman, said in an email.

The arrest was made at 1807 Elm St. in Little Rock by officers from North Little Rock, Little Rock and members of the U.S. Marshals Service's fugitive task force.

Dednam is charged with first-degree murder in the Tuesday death of Keon Woodson.

Officers responded about 11:48 p.m. Tuesday to Summertree Apartments at 5600 Summertree Dr. where they found Woodson, 22, slumped over inside a white Chevrolet Tahoe. Woodson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators determined Woodson had been involved in a shooting at an Exxon gas station about 1.2 miles south of the apartment complex at 3800 Camp Robinson Road. According to police, an altercation between the occupants of the Tahoe and individuals in another vehicle led to gunfire. Both vehicles fled the scene.

Court records show Woodson was a Little Rock resident.

Woodson's death is North Little Rock's 14th homicide of the year.
