A teenage boy was shot by a masked gunman Wednesday morning in Little Rock, police reported.
Officers were called about 11:30 a.m. to the 4100 block of West 13th Street. They found a 17-year-old boy who had been shot once in the ankle, according to police spokesman Lt. Steve McClanahan. The boy was hospitalized with injuries that are not life-threatening.
Investigators determined that the boy was outside a residence at 4121 W. 13th St. when someone ran toward him and began firing, McClanahan said. There was no known motive.
The boy was not identified because of his age.
