Trailer-park holdup second in 2 days

Police were investigating a second armed robbery in as many days at a southwest Little Rock trailer park Wednesday.

Officers responded at 9:37 p.m. to Southern Pines Mobile Home Park at 9500 S. Heights Road. Jose Castaneda, 18, and a 17-year-old boy were working on a car when three men approached and held them at gunpoint, according to a police report. Castaneda and the 17-year-old, whom police did not identify because of his age, gave a wallet and cellphone to the robbers.

The robbers were described as black and between the ages of 17 and 23. They fired several shots as they fled north in a gray 2007 Jeep Cherokee, the report states.

No injuries were reported.

One of the robbers wore a red bandanna over his face, the report says.

On Tuesday, three men fired shots as they fled in a similar holdup at the trailer park, police reported. Two homes were struck by the gunfire, but no one was hurt.

No arrests had been made in either robbery Thursday.
