SEARCY — Unity Health will host a Heart-to-Heart event from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Hubach Conference Center on Unity Health’s White County Medical Center campus. OktoberFest at the Bay, StoryFest at the Bay

FAIRFIELD BAY — OktoberFest will take place from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, with local arts and crafts offered for sale until 6 p.m. German food, music and dance will round out the day. On Saturday, the festival will open at 9 a.m. and feature Thunder in the Bay, a motorcycle rally sponsored by the Fairfield Bay Chamber of Commerce, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; a Volkswagen Show and Shine until 5 p.m.; and an OktoberFest celebration and dance, with an oom-pah-pah band playing from 7-10 p.m. The city’s sixth annual StoryFest, suitable for all ages, will be held Saturday and feature Sean Buvala and Minton Sparks. Morning storyteller sessions will begin at 9:30, and afternoon sessions at 1:30. StoryFest tickets cost $10 in advance or $15 at the door. To order tickets, call (501) 884-4202. Leslie Mountain Man Rendezvous

CABOT — The Cabot Lions Club will hold its annual Pancake Breakfast from 6-10 a.m. in the Cabot First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for children 10 and younger. Carryout orders will be available. The club will accept used eyeglasses for recycling. Proceeds will be used to provide vision services for Cabot-area residents.

Ghosts of Davidsonville Fall Festival

POCAHONTAS — Davidsonville Historic State Park’s annual fall festival, Ghosts of Davidsonville, will be held from 5-9 p.m. at the park. Angel Tree Applications

BATESVILLE — The United Way of North Central Arkansas is accepting applications for its Angel Tree Program, which provides eligible children with Christmas gifts. Parents/guardians may pick up applications from the Department of Human Services, 100 Weaver Ave., or the United Way office in the First Community Bank building, Southside Branch, at 1 Allen Chapel Road. The applications are due Oct. 30. To be eligible for the program, children must be ages 2-10 and living in the home listed; and the household must be a participant in the S.N.A.P. (Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program). Names will be available to purchase gifts for the Angels from Nov. 17 through Dec. 7.
