Charles Clay outdid himself on Sunday. A week after a season-high in catches and receiving yards, the Little Rock Central graduate caught 9 passes for 111 yards, both season-highs, in the Buffalo Bills’ 24-10 loss to the New York Giants.
One of his catches came on a third down to keep a drive going, another on fourth down, and he also caught passes of 20, 21 and 27 yards for the Bills. It came a week after Clay caught 5 passes for 82 yards and 1 touchdown in a victory over the Miami Dolphins, his former team. Clay’s 21 receptions this season are tied for third among all tight ends, and he has 255 yards and 2 touchdowns.
