Little Rock gas station owner disarms robber, takes back stolen items

The owner of a Little Rock gas station disarmed a robber and took back stolen property Friday, police reported.

Officers were called about 2:53 p.m to Shell, 4100 W. Markham St. Ahmed Musallam, 40, said a white man had taken items from the store, pointed a knife at him and threatened to kill him, according to an arrest report. Mussallam followed the man outside and “was able to take the knife and merchandise from (the robber),” the report states.

Police said Mussallam suffered minor injuries in the scuffle, which ended when the robber fled on foot.

Officers arrested Seth Mitchum, 33, near the gas station. He was charged with aggravated robbery and theft of property.

Mitchum was being held in the Pulaski County jail Monday in lieu of $15,000 bond.
