The 76th Arkansas State Fair kicks off Friday in Little Rock, but before the festivities begin, a select group previewed Tuesday some of the food that will be on site this year.

Those fried, sweet and unusual concoctions include a 2-foot hot dog, a "bacon bomb" filled with peanut butter and chocolate, bacon-wrapped stuffed peppers, spiced pumpkin funnel cakes, fried red velvet Oreos, "bird dogs" with fried chicken, and glazed meatballs and potatoes on a stick.

A poll on site Tuesday revealed two early crowd favorites: a turtle funnel cake and the "bacon bomb."

This year's entertainment lineup at the state fair includes nine headlining acts such as Montgomery Gentry, Eddie Money and Styx, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported in August.

The fair, which draws more than 450,000 people each year, starts Friday and runs through Oct. 18 at the fairgrounds in Little Rock.

More information about the Arkansas State Fair can be found at its website or by calling (501) 372-8341.
