Sorry, Little Rock robber tells cabbie victim

A Little Rock taxi driver was held at gunpoint by an apologetic robber Monday night, police reported.

Officers responded about 11:34 p.m. to the 200 block of West Charles Bussey Avenue. Sonya Quince, 37, said she'd driven a man to the area from Arkansas Children's Hospital when the man pulled a gun and took $75 from her, according to a police report. The man told Quince he was sorry for robbing her and that "he was going through hard times," the report states.

No injuries were reported.

Police searched the area but made no arrests.

The robber, who called himself "Timothy," is described as black, 5-foot-2 and between 18 and 24 years old.
