Innovation hub sets contest for women

The U.S. Small Business Administration's InnovateHer 2016 challenge will be held Nov. 2 at the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub at 201 E. Broadway in North Little Rock.

The contest is an opportunity for women 18 and older to describe how their product or service has a measurable impact on the lives of women and families.

The competition will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 2. The event is free. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Oct. 30.

The local participants will compete for a $1,000 cash prize and the chance to compete in the finals in Washington, D.C., on March 16-17.
