UPDATE: Police make arrest in Rogers pharmacy robbery

5:48 p.m. update

The police arrested Joseph Dallas Head, 37, of Rogers, on suspicion of robbing AllCare Pharmacy in Rogers Thursday morning, according to a post on the Rogers Police Department's Facebook page.

Head entered the store and demanded oxycontin, the post stated. He indicated he was armed, but nobody saw a weapon, according to the post.

Head was identified by several people based on a surveillance image.

Police are investigating the Thursday morning robbery of a pharmacy near a Catholic school in Rogers.

A man robbed the AllCare Pharmacy at 216 S. 13th St. around 9:30 a.m. and fled, said Keith Foster, a police spokesman. Foster did not know if the man was armed, or if he was able to take anything.

The pharmacy is near St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School, which went into lockdown as a precaution. The lockdown had been lifted before noon.
