Wedding guest who died in bluff fall identified

Franklin County Coroner Shelby Floyd identified 27-year-old Nicholas Noteboom on Wednesday as the Russellville man who died after falling off a bluff over the weekend.

Noteboom was killed after falling from a 10- to 15-foot bluff behind a house off Redding Road near the Mulberry River where he was attending a wedding late Saturday in northern Franklin County.

Franklin County Emergency Medical Services Director Randy Boren said Noteboom had left the celebration and told a friend he was going to his truck. But shortly afterward, he fell off the bluff in the dark, unfamiliar surroundings.

Wedding attendees noticed him missing about 11 p.m. Saturday, and a call for help was made the next morning, authorities said.
