Police: Golf-shop thief caught eating

Police said a Little Rock man was eating food inside a golf pro shop Tuesday afternoon when an employee returned and discovered him there.

The man, Antonio Jarrett, 25, had not paid for the food and also did not have permission to be in The First Tee of Central Arkansas, 1 First Tee Way in Little Rock, the report said. An officer found an unlocked door to the shop.

Jarrett was arrested and booked into the Pulaski County jail on charges of commercial burglary and theft of property. He was still listed on the jail's roster Thursday night.

Kid clothes stolen, LR clerk assaulted

Four people robbed a children's clothing store Wednesday afternoon in Little Rock, police reported.

Officers responded about 2 p.m. to The Toggery at 11525 Cantrell Road. Employees said two black men and two black women had taken $997.50 in clothing and pushed a woman down as they fled the store, according to a police report. The thieves reportedly drove away in a dark red, four-door car.

Ann Gibbs, 44, told police she ran outside to note the car's license plate number and was struck by the fleeing vehicle, the report states. Police said Gibbs suffered minor injuries on her hand and hip, but she declined medical treatment at the scene.

Detailed descriptions of the suspects were unavailable.

No arrests had been made.
