Blytheville police identify Tennessee men shot by officers

BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. — Blytheville police have released the names of two Dyersburg, Tennessee, men who were shot by officers during a pursuit.

Police Chief Ross Thompson told reporters Friday that 33-year-old David Pollock and 35-year-old Michael Bramlett were shot when Pollock tried to use the vehicle he was driving to assault officers following a police chase Thursday that ended in a field just outside Blytheville. A third man in the car was not wounded.

Thompson said Pollock is hospitalized in stable condition and Bennett was treated and released to police.

The names of the officers have not been released. Thompson says the officers are on paid leave pending investigations by both Blytheville police and the Arkansas State Police.
