TULSA — Autopsy reports show that five members of an Oklahoma family were stabbed dozens of times during a July attack in their home and died of multiple, sharp-force injuries.

The state medical examiner's office released the findings Monday on David, April, Daniel, Christopher and Victoria Bever. Two brothers in the same family, 16-year-old Michael Bever and 18-year-old Robert Bever, are accused of stabbing their parents and siblings to death.

The report noted that father David Bever had at least 28 total wounds to his body; mother April Bever had at least 48 total wounds.

Michael and Robert Bever have been charged with first-degree murder in the deaths and have pleaded not guilty. They are scheduled for preliminary hearing Jan. 22.

Two family members survived the attack.

Special Judge Martha Rupp Carter rejected a request Monday by Michael Bever's defense attorneys to consider certifying the teen as a juvenile delinquent or youthful offender in the mass killing case.

Bever's attorneys said they plan to appeal the ruling.
