Woman, 25, held in Wal-Mart theft

A Lonoke woman was arrested Sunday after police said she stole nearly $40 worth of infant products from a Wal-Mart in Jacksonville.

A store employee told Jacksonville Police Department officers that he saw Tara Felton, 25, select and conceal several pieces of baby merchandise then proceed through the store. The employee confronted Felton in the grocery section and she admitted to stealing the merchandise, a police report said.

Felton was arrested and taken to the Pulaski County jail where she was charged with theft of property. Bail was set at $1,000.

NLR police: Drugs found inside car

A North Little Rock Police officer stopped a car for expired tags early Sunday morning and discovered crack cocaine and marijuana in the vehicle, police said.

Robert Oliver, 39, of North Little Rock was arrested and transported to the Pulaski County jail at 1:41 a.m. Sunday. He was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of a controlled substance.

According to the police report, the officer "immediately smelled a strong odor of marijuana" from inside the vehicle when Oliver was pulled over.

Oliver admitted to possessing a small bag of marijuana, which he removed from his pants and gave to the officer, the report said. A small bag of crack cocaine was also found in the car's center console.

Bail was set at $7,500.
