Retail site planned near Little Rock outlet mall

Just as Outlets of Little Rock is preparing to open to the public Friday at Interstates 30 and 430 in west Little Rock, an adjacent development is landing its first project. Colliers International will handle the leasing and management of Grove Plaza, a 10,000-square-foot retail center on a 1.5-acre parcel across the street from the outlet mall.

The building will be next to Cavender's Boot City, said Isaac Smith, principal and executive vice president for Colliers in Little Rock. A local/regional investor group will develop the property.

Tommy Hodges, original developer of the Outlets site, planned for the land to be an entertainment district next to the outlet mall. The entire area, which includes Bass Pro Shops, is known as Gateway Town Center. Smith estimated that Grove Plaza will be completed in the second or third quarter of next year.
