Woman killed crossing I-30 in Little Rock

A 22-year-old woman was killed early Friday morning after being hit by a car as she tried to cross I-30 near Scott Hamilton Drive in Little Rock, state police said.

Taina Curry, of Alexander, was walking across the highway shortly after 1 a.m. when she was hit by a Dodge heading west, according to an accident report by the Arkansas State Police.

Curry died at the scene, the report said. The driver was not injured.

Road conditions were described as clear and dry at the time of the accident.

It was the 423rd road fatality of the year, according to preliminary Arkansas State Police records.
