A 26-year-old Springdale man was killed in a wreck Tuesday morning near Huntsville, according to a report from Arkansas State Police.
The man was identified as Jonathan J. Avila Gutierrez.
Gutierrez was driving a Yamaha motorcycle east on U.S. 412 east of Huntsville when he tried to pass a semitrailer driven by James Hawk, 49, of Beebe, according to the report.
Gutierrez almost hit an oncoming vehicle and veered right, hitting the front of the semitrailer, according to the report.
Hawk was not injured.
