Lab finishes autopsy of hot-car death of judge's son

The state Crime Lab said Tuesday that it has completed its autopsy report into the July 24 death of a Garland County judge's toddler son.

According to a preliminary investigation, Garland County Circuit Judge Wade Naramore's son, 18-month-old Thomas Naramore, died from excessive heat after being left in a vehicle on a day when the high temperature was 101.

State Crime Lab Assistant Director Richard Gallagher said the report has been sent to Scott Ellington, prosecuting attorney for the 2nd Judicial District in Jonesboro, who was appointed as a special prosecutor in the case.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported in August that Ellington's office had begun reviewing some collected information in the investigation.
