Scallops, fringe in style for fall

Fall is fashion's favorite season. Look no further than the style magazines that are practically as thick as encyclopedias, gushing about the season's hottest looks.

Here's what's on tap for fall 2015.

SCALLOPS

Look for scalloped detailing this fall on everything from blouse and skirt hemlines to trims on blazers. Designer Oscar de la Renta is a big fan of the fresh cut. We're especially looking forward to incorporating the scalloped designs into our work wardrobe -- giving a fashion-forward jolt to our traditional blazers and shell blouses.

CHOKERS

Let your inner '90s child rejoice. The choker necklace has a choke-hold on the fall 2015 jewelry trends. Designers like Emilio Pucci, Marc Jacobs and Alexander McQueen debuted the revived choker trend on their runway shows previewing fall 2015 lines. If you rocked the trend in your youth, you'll notice the choker jewelry this time around has lightened up some, with delicate wire chokers and open clasps.

FRINGE

Fringe detailing is still in full effect. You'll definitely see it gracing accessories in the fall -- everything from bold, boho fringes on jackets and handbags to subtle fringe benefits detailing necklaces. Why not combine the of-the-moment detail with one of our fave fall fashion delights, booties!

MICRO PURSES

Small purses and wristlets are so, well, clutch this season! Make a big statement with a small purse in a bold color. Such pouches -- just roomy enough to carry your essentials like your phone, keys, credit card and fave fall shade of lipstick -- often have straps that can adjust or detach so you can carry it as a crossbody or wear it on your wrist.

BOLD SHIFTS

This season's shift dresses are getting a bold makeover. We're seeing lots of pattern mixing on the dresses -- with florals, chevron, geometric shapes, stripes and damask prints coming in dramatic jewel tones and bright bursts of color. The sleeves are a little bit roomier, and the fashion-forward can give the dramatic bell shape sleeves a try.
