Flash flood warning issued for Pulaski County

The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a flash flood warning for northeastern Pulaski County, in effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Scattered rainfall, heavy at times, could affect evening commutes in areas such as Little Rock, North Little Rock, Sherwood and Maumelle.

According to officials, a 30 percent chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms is in the forecast before 10 p.m. Wednesday in Little Rock.

Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen in the past hour, and another 2 inches could fall in portions of Pulaski County as the system moves through central Arkansas.
