Murder and mayhem: Ambition and prophesy lead to treachery and murder in Shakespeare's Macbeth. The Arkansas Repertory Theatre's first production of the 2015-16 season starts with preview performances and pre-show talks with Director Bob Hupp at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday and Sept. 10. Official opening is Sept. 11 with a post-show champagne reception and the production continues through Sept. 27. Show times are 7 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday and Sunday, 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $35-$45, $20 for students. Tilt and twirl: Livestock, carnival rides and fried foods by the score take over Little Rock during the Arkansas State Fair, Oct. 9-18 at the State Fairgrounds, 2600 Howard St. This year's musical acts include Eddie Money, Styx and Grand Funk Railroad.
