MOVIESTYLE: American Woman

It’s clear writer-director Noah Baumbach is smitten with both Greta Gerwig and the borough of Manhattan — and that these twin muses inspired the neo-screwball concoction Mistress America, which Philip Martin writes about in Friday’s Style section. Meanwhile, Dan Lybarger checks in with Glen Campbell’s wife and caregiver Kim on the occasion of the DVD release of the documentary Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me, and Piers Marchant debriefs Memphis native Robert Gordon on his new doc, Best of Enemies, now playing in local theaters. And Karen Martin contributes a review of the German thriller Phoenix and her weekly round up of home video releases.

Also, Robert Redford and Nick Nolte go for A Walk in the Woods, and Transporter Refueled didn’t screen for critics. (Which means it’s probably amazing.)
