Drugs in backpack land man in jail

Little Rock police arrested a 30-year-old Memphis man Wednesday after marijuana and tabs of MDMA were found in his backpack, according to an arrest report.

Michael Suggs II gave police permission to search his backpack and officers found about 10 ounces of marijuana and 49 tabs of MDMA, also known as ecstasy, the report said. The report lists the place of arrest as 600 W. Roosevelt Road at 5:20 a.m., but it does not say why officers approached Suggs or the circumstances leading up to his arrest.

Suggs was booked into the Pulaski County jail and charged with possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver and possession of MDMA with purpose to deliver. He was not listed on the jail's roster Wednesday night.
