Seven Arkansas counties are under burn bans going into Labor Day weekend, according to the Arkansas Forestry Commission.
As of Friday afternoon, the counties with bans on outdoor burning are Ashley, Chicot, Clark, Faulkner, Grant, Hempstead and Hot Spring.
Most of central and southern Arkansas is under a moderate wildfire risk, according to the forestry commission.
Forestry officials advised residents across the state to use safe outdoor burning practices where bans are not in place.
