Police say LR man threatened campus

Police arrested a Little Rock man Thursday after he reportedly made multiple threats to kill numerous people on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, according to an arrest report.

Hugh McCoy, 42, was being held at the Pulaski County jail Thursday night on a charge of terroristic threatening. An arrest report said McCoy made "multiple threats to conduct an active shooter incident at UALR and stated that he would kill numerous people."

2 in LR stab man, rob him, police told

Police were investigating after a man said he was attacked and robbed Wednesday in Little Rock.

Jason Caldwell, 41, said he was at 1911 Rainwood Cove when two men approached him about 3 p.m., according to a police report. One of the men demanded Caldwell's wallet and attacked him with a knife when Caldwell refused. The other man struck Caldwell with a wooden stake.

Caldwell said he fought back, but the men eventually took his wallet and fled on foot, according to the report.

Police said Caldwell suffered puncture wounds and multiple slash wounds on his arms and legs.

The robbers are both described as black and between the ages of 18 and 25. One was said to be 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. The other is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 140 pounds.

Police charge man in HIV transmission

A North Little Rock man was arrested Thursday after police said he had unprotected sex with someone and gave them HIV.

An arrest report said Deanthony Holmes, 27, was diagnosed with HIV in 2013. He is accused of having sex with someone in 2014 and not telling that person he was HIV positive, the arrest report said. That person is now HIV positive as well.

Holmes was charged with exposing another person to HIV.

Jacksonville man held in drug case

A Jacksonville man was arrested Thursday after police searched the mobile home that he rents and found drugs and drug paraphernalia, according to an arrest report.

Jacksonville police conducted a search warrant at 1400 Stanphill Road, Lot C, at 6:05 a.m. Thursday and found 1 gram of crystal methamphetamine, 10.9 ounces of marijuana, hydrocodone and drug paraphernalia, according to an arrest report. Also, the mobile home is within 1,000 feet of a bus stop.

Vidal Jackson, 42, was arrested on two counts of delivery of a Schedule VI controlled substance, maintaining a drug premises in a prohibited area, unauthorized use of another person's property to facilitate certain crimes, two counts of possession of a Schedule II substance, possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Jackson, was booked into the Pulaski County jail, where he remained Thursday night.

2 charged; police say drugs in home

Jacksonville police arrested two people after finding cocaine, methamphetamine, crack cocaine, marijuana, prescription medications and drug paraphernalia, an arrest report said.

Police served a search warrant at 1401 School Drive where they found "large amounts of the drugs," the arrest report said. A child lives in the home, which is within 1,000 feet of a declared drug-free zone, according to the arrest report.

Roshawn Knowlin, 41, was arrested on several charges, including delivery of a Schedule II substance that is not methamphetamine or cocaine, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree.

Knowlin, who also has two warrants out for her arrest, was booked into the Pulaski County jail. She was not listed on the jail's roster Thursday night.

Eric Williams, 42, was also arrested on several charges, including five counts of delivery of cocaine and endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree.

Williams had 12 warrants out for his arrest. He was listed on the jail's roster Thursday night.
