• Pitcher Mike Bolsinger (Arkansas Razorbacks) was recalled to the Los Angeles Dodgers from Class AAA Oklahoma City on Tuesday. Bolsinger won his final start for Oklahoma City on Aug. 29 at the El Paso Chihuahuas (AAA Padres), in which he allowed 3 hits with 2 walks and 11 strikeouts in 7 innings of a 4-1 victory. He helped his own cause going 1 for 3 offensively with 1 RBI. Bolsinger got the victory for Los Angeles on Friday at San Diego, allowing 3 earned runs on 2 hits with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts in 5 innings as the Dodgers beat the Padres 8-4.

• Infielder Andy Wilkins (Arkansas Razorbacks) experienced the highs and lows of baseball Wednesday night and Thursday. Wilkins hit 2 home runs for Oklahoma City (AAA Dodgers) on Wednesday in an 11-3 victory over the Iowa Cubs (AAA Cubs), helping the Dodgers clinch the American Northern Division title, the team's eighth trip to the postseason since joining the Pacific Coast League in 1998. On Thursday, Wilkins was designated for assignment to make room on Los Angeles' 40-man roster for top prospect Corey Seager. Wilkins can now be placed on waivers, traded, released or outrighted to the minor leagues within 10 days of his designation.

The season begins Sept. 13 against the Salt River Rafters. ... Outfielder Doug Votolato (Central Arkansas) was promoted to the Class AA Frisco (Texas) RoughRiders by the Texas Rangers on Aug. 31. Flying Squirrels by the San Francisco Giants on Aug. 27. Stromsmoe batted .258 in 19 games for high-A San Jose. ... Outfielder D'vone McClure (Jacksonville) was assigned to the Cleveland Indians' rookie team in the Arizona League on Aug. 28 for a rehab assignment. McClure had not played for short-A Mahoning Valley since July 8, but was not put on the disabled list until July 31. He made his Arizona League debut on Aug. 28, striking out in both of his plate appearances in a 3-2 victory over the AZL Reds.
