Central Arkansas women fall at Tulsa

Central Arkansas struggled offensively and lost 2-0 Sunday at Tulsa.

Tana Dake scored on a feed from Alexa Sidorakis in the 13th minute of the game for Tulsa’s first goal before Elisa Impagliazzo tapped in a shot from Dake in the 68th minute for the other. Central Arkansas had three shots on goal. Anna Hughes and Lauren Mercuri each made five saves for the Sugar Bears.

Central Arkansas hosts Missouri State Friday and Mississippi Valley State Sunday.

Bears lose to Incarnate Word

Central Arkansas lost 2-1 to Incarnate Word on Sunday at the Bill Stephens Soccer Complex in Conway.

Wes Carson scored for the Bears in the 10th minute, but Incarnate Word tied the game in the 81st minute when Noah Keats launched a free kick into the box which Alex Hoyl scored from 7 yards out.

Two minutes later, Jonathan Camarena fed Keats, who beat UCA goal keeper Harrison Veith from 8 yards out.

Central Arkansas (1-3-0) hosts Missouri-Kansas City on Saturday.

Ole Miss downs UALR at home

Ole Miss scored in the sixth minute of overtime to beat UALR 1-0 on Sunday in Oxford, Miss. Ce Ce Kizer scored the game-winning goal in the 96th minute, striking the ball from the right side of the penalty box into the upper corner of the net. The Trojans (3-3) lost despite a career-high 13 saves by goal keeper Sara Small. Ole Miss outshot UALR 30-13 and had 13 corner kicks to UALR’s 1. UALR hosts UAPB on Tuesday.

Arkansas State handles Miss. Valley

Loren Mitchell, Jordan Adams, Yayedior Mbengue and Katherine Padgett all scored goals in Arkansas State’s 4-0 victory over Mississippi Valley State on Sunday at the Arkansas State Soccer Park in Jonesboro. Amanda Lee and Kelsey Proctor shared time in goal in recording the shutout. Arkansas State (2-4) plays Idaho on Friday in Memphis.

Missouri Western defeats Harding

Harding defeated Missouri Western 2-1 on Sunday in St. Joseph, Mo. Audrey Adkison scored for Harding in the 12th minute of the game, while Bridgett Blessie scored both goals for Missouri Western. Harding’s Kaitlyn Miller made 11 saves in goal. Harding (0-2) hosts Central Baptist on Thursday.
