Crashes claim lives of 3 on state roads

A 52-year-old Camden woman was killed last week in Camden in Ouachita County when her car hit a tree, the Arkansas State Police reported.

Kahne Karol Lindsey was driving a 2009 Nissan west on Monticello Street just east of Cash Road on Sept. 2 when the car left the road, according to a report released Tuesday.

Lindsey was transported to the Ouachita County Medical Center where she later died. At the time of the crash, the weather was clear and roads were dry.

A Blytheville man was killed Wednesday morning when his car ran off the road and into several trees in Hope in Hempstead County, according to state police.

Kenneth Deason, 57, was driving a 2012 Volvo north on Arkansas 29 west of North Spruce Street around 7:15 a.m. when the car went off the road, the report said.

The roads were wet at the time of the crash, according to the report.

A 49-year-old motorcyclist from Crossett was killed Tuesday morning in Drew County on U.S. 425, state police reported.

Floyd Stephenson Jr. was driving a 2009 Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on U.S. 425 at Lacey New Hope Road at about 10:07 a.m. when a 2005 Nissan pulled onto the highway in front of him, the report said. The motorcycle hit the side of the Nissan.

At the time of the crash, the weather was clear and roads were dry.
