Janet Jackson sets Verizon Arena concert in 2016

Janet Jackson will perform next year at North Little Rock's Verizon Arena, the venue announced Thursday.

The Tuesday, May 31 concert is part of a worldwide tour supporting Jackson's soon-to-be-released album, "Unbreakable."

Tickets, which range from $29.95 to $110, will go on sale to the general public 10 a.m. Sept. 19. They will be available at the arena box office and other Ticketmaster outlets, online or by calling (800) 745-3000.

American Express card holders and fans who preorder Jackson's album can buy tickets beginning Sept. 14 through Jackson's website, according to a statement announcing the Little Rock concert and other new dates.

The six-time Grammy Award-winning Jackson has sold more than 160 million records during her career. Her new album is due Oct. 2.
