Beatles Symposium

WALNUT RIDGE — The Beatles Symposium will kick off the Beatles at the Ridge music festival Friday and Saturday in downtown Walnut Ridge. Both events are free. Beatles experts Richard Buskin and Robert Rodriguez will perform their podcast “Things We Said Today.” Bob Loveall will bring Beatles wares from his Beatles Shop in Austin, Texas. Ivor Davis, who traveled with the Beatles on their North American tour in 1964, and filmmaker Seth Swirsky, who made the movie Beatles Stories, will also speak. The Beatles Symposium will begin with displays at noon Friday in The Studio, which is on Main Street. Geocache Scavenger Hunt

SALEM — The Friends of Old Main will sponsor a skeet shoot Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. at the York residence on Old Sturkie Road. All proceeds will benefit the Old Main schoolhouse renovation project. Tori Kelly Performance at Harding University
