A 16-year-old girl reported missing earlier this month has been found safe, the Jefferson County sheriff's office said Wednesday.
Juanita Nicole Elizardo of Pine Bluff, who was last seen about 8 p.m. Sept. 1 at her residence, was found just before noon Wednesday in the care of a relative, according to authorities.
The sheriff's office said family and friends of Elizardo "had expressed concern for her welfare on social media and appealed for her to get in touch."
