VOLLEYBALL

UALR sweeps Georgia Southern

UALR defeated Georgia Southern 25-22, 25-23, 25-16 Friday in Statesboro, Ga., in its Sun Belt Conference opener. The Trojans (5-6, 1-0 Sun Belt Conference) were led by Edina Sellmovic, who finished with 17 kills. Carolee Dillard had 10. Megan Mathis had 32 assists. Priscila Almeida had 15 digs, and Sydnee Martin had 12.

Arkansas Tech drops two

Arkansas Tech lost 25-12, 29-27, 25-18 to Washburn and 22-25, 28-26, 25-16, 25-22 to Central Missouri at the GAC/MIAA Crossover in Russellville.

Arkansas Tech (6-5) received 26 digs from Madison Nagel and 30 assists and 10 digs from Sarita Stegall against Washburn.

Against Central Missouri, Hunter Eshnaur led the Golden Suns with 13 kills. Kimberly Huff had 10 kills and eight blocks. Stegall had 35 assists.

Henderson State falls at Missouri Western

Henderson State lost 25-17, 25-11, 25-16 to Missouri Western on Friday at the GAC/MIAA Crossover in St. Joseph, Mo. Violet Williams led the Lady Reddies with six kills, while Jessie Jacoby and Julianna Adams had five each. Sydney Skelton had 12 digs. Henderson State plays Northwest Missouri State at noon today and Nebraska-Kearney at 2 p.m.

Harding beats Union

Harding defeated Union 4-0 Friday in Searcy. Morgan Springborn scored two goals for Harding (3-2), and Bethany Sutherland and Emma Chilton also scored. Harding had 19 shots in the game and nine on goal. Harding plays at Mississippi College on Sunday in Clinton, Miss
