Cedric Domond West, 17, is wanted on a capital murder charge in the shooting, said Lt. Steve McClanahan of the Little Rock Police Department. West is a 5-foot-6 black male weighing about 200 pounds.

West is said to be driving a white Ford Crown Victoria with a black "push bumper" and a police spotlight.

"He is a danger that we need to get off the streets," McClanahan said.

On Saturday afternoon, 18-year-old Cardaro Houston was in a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu that was traveling west on West 12th Street at Fair Park Boulevard when a Crown Victoria with multiple black men inside pulled up next to the Malibu and fired several shots, according to the police report.

West is the only suspect police have named so far.

Houston was transported by private vehicle to UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, where he later died.

The Little Rock Police Department said on its Facebook page that West should be considered "armed and dangerous." Residents are asked to dial 911 immediately if West is seen.

"Anonymous calls are answered and will be investigated," the Facebook post said.
