Little Rock Police are investigating a shooting at West 26th and Maple streets that sent two victims to the hospital Sunday.

The victims -- who were transported to UAMS Medical Center with injuries that weren't life-threatening -- were identified as 18-year-old Nykian Raines and 43-year-old Demetrius Barton, both of Little Rock.

Four juvenile suspects are in custody, but no charges have been filed, said police spokesman Lt. Steve McClanahan.

Police were called to the shooting just before 3 p.m. Sunday. A witness told police that a heated argument between two parties -- one on foot and the other in a car -- escalated until the groups began shooting at one another, according to the police report.

The vehicle left the scene and was later located in southeast Little Rock.
