Scientist Bill Nye to speak at UCA in October

Scientist Bill Nye will give a public lecture at the University of Central Arkansas in October.

Nye's lecture, in which he will aim to make science accessible to the audience through comedy and storytelling, will be from 7:30-10 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Farris Center on the university's campus.

Tickets are $15 for the public, $5 for students and children, and free for UCA students.

Nye has won seven Emmy Awards for writing, performing and producing. His TV show, Bill Nye the Science Guy, won 18 Emmys in five years.

Nye has also written five children's books.
