Two women killed in Springdale accident

SPRINGDALE -- Two Springdale women died in a two-vehicle crash Sunday night.

The accident happened at 7:55 p.m. on Arkansas 264 near Primrose Lane, according to a news release from the Springdale Police Department. A Chevrolet Corvette was traveling east on Arkansas 264 and a Toyota Tundra was backing out of a driveway. The Corvette hit the Tundra.

Cynthia Turner, 40, of Springdale was the driver of the Corvette, while Holly Hill, 24, of Springdale was a passenger in that vehicle, according to the release. Turner and Hill "were pronounced deceased at the scene."

Christopher Stowe, 38, of Springdale was the driver of the Tundra, according to the release. Stowe was not injured, according to the release.

The accident is being investigated, and police don't know if alcohol was involved, according to the release.

No charges or citations had been issued as of late Monday afternoon, said Lt. Derek Wright, public information officer with the Springdale Police Department. It will be two to three more days until the investigation is finished, he said.
