The Pulaski County sheriff's office is investigating after a body was found in the Arkansas River just before 10 a.m. Monday, a spokesman for the sheriff's office said.
North Little Rock police found the body on the north banks about 1.5 miles downstream from Jeffery Sand Co., spokesman Capt. Carl Minden said.
The body was taken to the state Crime Lab for examination and identification.
An investigation is ongoing.
