Brady Bramlett struck out 12 batters and led Ole Miss to a 7-3 win over Arkansas in a top 25 matchup Friday.

Bramlett allowed just three hits in seven scoreless innings for the No. 15 Rebels. He struck out 10 of the first 13 batters he faced.

Ole Miss (23-7, 4-6 SEC) gave its starter plenty of run support. The Rebels scored three runs in the second inning and three more in the third to take command.

The four- through eight-hole hitters in the Ole Miss lineup accounted for all seven of the team's RBIs.

Arkansas starter James Teague left the game after allowing two base runners with no outs in the fourth. Teague allowed seven runs on eight hits in three-plus innings.

It was the third consecutive short Friday start for the No. 21 Razorbacks. Dominic Taccolini went two innings and one inning in the two previous series openers, but Arkansas rallied to win both games.

The Razorbacks (20-10, 4-6) are looking to avoid their third SEC series loss in four weekends.

Arkansas' only runs Friday came in the eighth inning. Tucker Pennell doubled to lead-off the inning and scored on Clark Eagan's sacrifice fly to give the Razorbacks their first run. Cullen Gassaway added a two-run double later in the inning.

Arkansas freshmen Blaine Knight and Cody Scroggins combined to pitch five scoreless innings out of the bullpen. Knight struck out six in four innings, while Scroggins worked around two base runners in the eighth.

The teams are scheduled to play again Saturday at 4 p.m.
