A Little Rock man remained in jail a day after he was accused of threatening a Little Rock police officer, spitting on him and damaging the officer's police car.

Robert Lee, 43, of 1606 Fair Park Blvd. was charged with first-degree criminal mischief, terroristic threatening and aggravated assault on an officer, all felonies.

Lee initially had been arrested on suspicion of public intoxication Sunday afternoon at a home on Windamere Drive. On the way to the Pulaski County jail, police said Lee threatened to beat the officer before slamming his head against the cage glass, causing a cut on his head.

Once at the jail, the officer said Lee told him that once he is released, "he will get my gun and shoot me," according to the officer's report. He also spit on the officer, according to the report.

While at the hospital for treatment, Lee again spit on the officer and later kicked both rear car doors, damaging them to the point they no longer would close properly, the report said.
