Stolen gun found in Little Rock school; boy held

Police arrested a Little Rock Central High School student who was found with a stolen handgun in class Monday afternoon.

The 16-year-old boy was arrested after another student saw the pistol and told a teacher after the student with the pistol fell asleep, according to a police incident report. The boy's identity was not released because of his age.

No injuries were reported.

Police said the pistol, a silver Kimber Raptor II, had been reported stolen in Lonoke County.

The boy was charged as a minor with felony theft by receiving and possession of a firearm on school grounds. He was being held in the Pulaski County juvenile detention center Monday, according to police.
