Police: Elderly couple pushed, robbed in Arkansas home invasion

Garland County sheriff's office deputies are investigating a robbery in which several items were stolen Monday from a home in Hot Springs, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

An elderly couple reported that two white men wearing dark hoodies and jeans broke into their home in the 2800 block of Highway 290 at 3:15 p.m.

The men knocked on the door, then forced their way in, shoving a man to the ground after he cracked open the door. The man's wife ran to the back bedroom to call 911 but was knocked to the floor as well, according to the release.

It was not clear what items were stolen or if any arrests had been made. A phone call to the Garland County sheriff's office was not immediately returned.
